Primary education in Thetford North Notice is given in accordance with section 19(1) of the Education and Inspections Act 2006 that Norfolk County Council intends to make prescribed alterations to Drake Community Infant School, Fairfields, Thetford, IP24 1JW from 01 September 2016. The proposal is to create a two form entry all-through primary school by extending the age range to cater for children aged up to 11. The current capacity of Drake Infant School is 175 and the proposed capacity will be 420. The current admission number for the school is 60 and the proposed admission number is 60. In September 2014 an extra class was set up at Raleigh Infant School meaning that there are now 90 places in each year group. By retaining Junior age pupils at Drake School, Admirals Academy will have space for the additional children who will need to transfer from Raleigh Infant School from September 2016.
