NOTICE UNDER SECTION 91, 92 & 93 OF THE PLANNING ACT 2008 AND RULE 13(6) INFRASTRUCTURE PLANNING (EXAMINATION PROCEDURE) RULES 2010 NOTICE OF AN OPEN FLOOR HEARING AND ISSUE SPECIFIC HEARINGS IN RELATION TO THE PROPOSED PROGRESS POWER (GAS FIRED POWER STATION) ORDER PLANNING INSPECTORATE REFERENCE: EN 010060 1. Notice is hereby given that an open floor hearing and issue specific hearings will be held by the Examining Authority (appointed by the Planning Inspectorate ("PINS")) for the examination of the Application made under section 37 of the Planning Act 2008 by Progress Power Limited ("PPL") for a Development Consent Order for the construction, operation and maintenance of a new gas fired thermal generating station of up to 299MW and integral electrical and gas connections on land at, and in the vicinity of, the former Eye Airfield, near Eye, Suffolk (the "Project"). Plans showing the land affected by the Project form part of the Application documents which can be viewed as described in paragraph 9 and 10 below. 2. The Project, which comprises the following elements which form a nationally significant infrastructure project as defined in sections 14(1)(a) and 15 of the 2008 Act, comprises the following elements a. a. The Power Generation Plant - a simple cycle gas turbine gas fired 'peaking' power generating plant. To generate up to 299MW, between 1 and 5 gas turbine generators would be used, each with its own emission flue stack between 25 and 30m in height. The Power Generation Plant would include the gas turbine generators; a banking compound; a natural gas receiving station and gas treatment compound; a black start generator; water tanks; and support buildings, structures and equipment b. b. The Electrical Connection - a new underground electrical cable to export electricity from the Power Generation Plant into the National Electricity Transmission System (the Cable). This would be composed of a new underground cable circuit connection of approximately 1.6 kilometres, and a new Access Road, with a new road junction off the A140 (the A140 Junction), and a new Electrical Connection Compound Comprising of a new substation and sealing end compound. c. c. The Gas Connection - a new underground gas pipeline connection to bring natural gas to the Power Generation Plant from the existing high pressure gas network National Transmission System located off Potash Lane. The Gas Connection would include an Above Ground Installation comprising of a Pipeline Inspection Gauge ("PIG") Trap Facility alongside a Minimum Offtake Connection, and an approximately 1.7 kilometre gas pipeline laid to the gas receiving installation within the Power Generation Plant. 3. The Application was submitted to the Secretary of State (via PINS) on Monday 31st March 2014 and accepted for examination on Friday 25th April 2014. The reference number applied by the Planning Inspectorate, on behalf of the Secretary of State, to the Application is EN 010060. 4. Hearings 5. Interested parties include any person that has made a relevant representation to the Examining Authority in accordance with section 102(4) of the Planning Act 2008, as well as PPL, and various persons and bodies prescribed by statute. In accordance with Rule 14(3) of the Infrastructure Planning (Examination Procedure) Rules 2010, any oral representations made at hearings should be based on representations previously made in writing by the particular participant. 7. Should the consideration of the issues take less time than anticipated, the hearing may be concluded as soon as all relevant contributions have been made and all questions asked and responded to. If there are additional matters to be dealt with or there are submissions that take a considerable amount of time at any hearing then it may be necessary to continue the session for longer on the day or adjourn the hearing and continue at a subsequent sitting. 8. In accordance with Rule 13(3)(a) of the Infrastructure Planning (Examining Procedure) Rules 2010 (the "Rules") the Examining Authority must also notify interested parties of the date, time and place fixed for the open floor and issue specific hearings. 9. The Application form and its accompanying documents, plans and maps are available to view online through the Planning Inspectorate's website. Furthermore, an agenda for each hearing may be published on the project pages of the planning portal website shortly before commencement of the hearings. HARBOURS ACT 1964 (AS AMENDED) PROPOSED THE GREAT YARMOUTH PORT AUTHORITY (CONSTITUTION) HARBOUR REVISION ORDER NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR A HARBOUR REVISION ORDER NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Great Yarmouth Port Authority (the Applicant) has applied to the Marine Management Organisation (MMO) for a harbour revision order under section 14 of the Harbours Act 1964.
